Keys Make Sluggers 3-0 Losers
|
Kansas City and Sacramento got after it at Cyberdyne Systems Stadium.
Right-hander Eddy Loya mesmerized the Sacramento Sluggers while leading the Kansas City Keys to a 3-0 victory. Curt Lambert got credit for the save for Kansas City. It was his 12th of the year.
Danny Contreras dealt the Sluggers a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Kansas City leading 1-0, Contreras, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Kansas City skipper Lookie Wookie. "I can't complain."
Sacramento's current losing streak is now 4 games.
