The Columbus Cavaliers topped the Sacramento Sluggers, 5-3, in Frontier League action at Huntington Park. The standout performance belonged to Columbus pitcher and Toms River, New Jersey, native Mike Campbell. Jose Pulido earned the save for Columbus, his 11th. The Sluggers, now 13-36, have lost 6 in a row.

Jose Maese dealt the Sluggers a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Columbus leading 1-0, Maese, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2063 draft, hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
