Iron Benders Dealt 8-4 Loss by Tuscon
|
A good performance from designated hitter Bryan Cato helped the Tuscon Raiders defeat the Pacific City Iron Benders, 8-4. Cato went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Raiders. Ethan Knecht earned the save for Tuscon, his 4th. The Raiders lead the Frontier League West by 5 games.
Jesse Latour, who finished 4th in the FL in RBI with 60 last year, aided the Tuscon cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
