The Pittsburgh Monongahelas had no problem beating the Salt Lake City Missionaries, 11-1, at Forbes Field. Manuel Aguirre led the way. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for Pittsburgh. Chris Wireman earned save number 1 this season. Pittsburgh is now 38-18, 3½ games up in the Frontier League Heartland.

Bill Allen, who finished 5th in the FL in doubles with 33 in 2060, aided the Pittsburgh cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Lookie Wookie.
