Keys Prevail, 4-2, Over Music City
|
The Keys grabbed a win, 4-2, at Polo Grounds 1923, overcoming a fine effort from Music City pitcher Isaiah Damon. Damon went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Kansas City pitcher Bob Dorantes got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jose Guzman got the loss. Curt Lambert got credit for the save for Kansas City. It was his 16th of the year.
Kansas City took a 3-2 lead on J.P. Luter's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Music City pitcher Jose Guzman in the bottom of the seventh.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kansas City manager Lookie Wookie.
The Keys saw their record improve to 26-32.
