Cavaliers Top Kansas City, 1-0
|
The Columbus Cavaliers picked up a win at Huntington Park, knocking off the Kansas City Keys, 1-0. On the mound for Columbus was right-hander Josh Upton, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Jose Pulido in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Eric Grossman took the loss. The Cavaliers sport a record of 23-42.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Keys allowed the Cavaliers to score the winning run.
"What a buzz," said Valadez after it was over.
