Bulldogs Snatch Late Win
|
Starting pitcher Ruben Cardosa was a major factor in the 3-1 Dallas Bulldogs triumph over the San Juan Defenders. Dallas raised its record to 27-19 with the win.
Rogelio Nunez was 2-3 with a double and a walk for Dallas. The 2053 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Aaron Sykes. It was his 13th walk of the season.
"Ruben did a tremendous job," said Dallas manager Lookie Wookie.
