The New York Revolution had to overcome a fine effort from Brooklyn pitcher Zack Faulkner to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Bomber's Park. Faulkner went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Austin McCafferty recorded the save, his 15th. New York has now won 5 in a row.
Had Justin Halverson not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Halverson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Revolution.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Brooklyn manager Lookie Wookie.
