The Norfolk Vikings downed the Tampa Crocodiles, 8-6, at Freedom Lake. The Vikings were led by Josh Herrera. He went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Ray Abeyta earned the save for Norfolk, his 11th. The win puts Norfolk at 17-33.

Herrera had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Russ Cash, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Vikings a 8-6 lead. It was the 19th double of the year for Herrera.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Herrera.
