The Boatyard hosted a real pitchers' duel.

Steve Miller was locked and loaded, helping the Tampa Crocodiles beat the Raleigh Raptor Boats, 2-1. The Crocodiles, at 25-29, sit in 5th place in the Continental League South.

Tampa used the timely hitting of Chris Holcomb to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Crocodiles on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Holcomb told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
