Raptor Boats Deal Defenders 7-4 Loss
The Raleigh Raptor Boats picked up a win at El Morro Park, knocking off the San Juan Defenders, 7-4. Starting pitcher Brian Benevides played a key role in the triumph. Getting the save was Kyle Galinis, his 10th. With the victory, the Raptor Boats upped their record to 30-25.

The outcome might have been different for Raleigh, had it not been for Frank Rodriguez, the six-time Gold Glove Award winner . Rodriguez stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Raleigh up, 7-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

Despite the victory, Rodriguez was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
