Navigators Hand Crusaders 6-4 Loss
|
NOVA starter Andrew Purkis pitched well against the Columbia Crusaders at Segra Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. Purkis picked up the win for NOVA, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. Brandon Pettway picked up the save, his 18th.
The Navigators got a big at-bat from right fielder Jamie Bomar. For the game, Bomar was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 4th triple of the season gave NOVA a 3-2 lead.
