Vikings Slap 5-3 Loss on Revolution
The Norfolk Vikings trumped the New York Revolution, 5-3, at Citi Field 2012. Norfolk designated hitter Jesus Mendoza was terrific. He went 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Kyle Taylor picked up the save, his 17th. The Vikings improved to 32-33.

Mendoza contributed in the top of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Norfolk get the win.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Mendoza, "and then get after it again."
