Duran, now 8-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 8, walking 5, and allowing 4 runs. With the victory, the Brawlers upped their record to 32-32.
Ben Steele, who is a four-time All-Star, helped out the Brooklyn cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 3 for 5 with 3 singles.
