Raptor Boats Lose Late, 4-1
|
New York and Raleigh duked it out and the Revolution came out victorious.
New York Revolution starter Cody Cooper was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Raleigh Raptor Boats, 4-1. New York reliever Steve Wesner picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Colin Price shouldered the loss.
Josh Floyd, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Floyd contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put New York up, 2-0.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Cooper told the New York Observer.
New York, at 58-10, is 22 games up in the Continental League East.
