Mexico City rode a good effort from starter Juan Medina to beat the Brooklyn Brawlers at Burnt to a Crisp Field. The final score was 4-2. The Blazers raised their record to 29-43.

Bill Guzman dealt the Brawlers a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Mexico City leading 1-0, Guzman, who led the FL in slugging percentage with .601 in 2061, hit a 1-0 changeup for a 2-run double.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Brooklyn skipper Lookie Wookie, "and it cost us."
