Munguia Leads Defenders to 6-5 Win Over Crusaders
Rico Munguia impressed in the 6-5 San Juan win over Columbia. Munguia, who finished 2nd in the CL in runs with 63 in 2058, was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brad Hosea was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 11 hits, with no walks and 1 strikeout. Willie Ayala was credited with the save for San Juan, his 13th of the season.

San Juan relied on the hitting of Cody Duch to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Defenders on top, 3-2. For the game, Duch had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
