The home crowd had a good time watching the Dallas Bulldogs and Norfolk Vikings get after it.

Norfolk starter Danny Villegas put a stranglehold on the Dallas offense. The left-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Vikings to a 5-1 win. Villegas got the win, improving to 3-7. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Villegas allowed 1 run.

Mike Stone, the Norfolk catcher, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Vikings. For the game, Stone went 1-2 with a hit by pitch. He drove in 2 runs.

Villegas called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
