Dallas picked up a win at Vinland Park, bumping off the Norfolk Vikings, 5-1. Pitcher Steve Stanfield was a major reason the Bulldogs emerged victorious. The victory gives the Bulldogs a record of 44-34.

Dallas used the timely hitting of Scott Haywood to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bulldogs ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Haywood told the Dallas Daily News.
