The Mexico City Blazers outlasted the Tampa Crocodiles, 6-5, in 14 innings. Bob Ramos led the way, going 3-for-5 for Mexico City. Mexico City reliever Arturo Valencia was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Russ Cash took the loss for Tampa. The 5th-place Blazers have a record of 32-49.

The Blazers procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Greg McMeans. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Mexico City manager Lookie Wookie.
