Floundering Crusaders Lose 7th Straight
The Mexico City Blazers had to overcome a fine effort from Columbia pitcher Jose Gallegos to grab a narrow 3-1 win at Burnt to a Crisp Field. Gallegos went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Cesar Flores picked up the save for Mexico City, his 18th of the year. The Crusaders, now 40-39, have lost 7 in a row.

Mexico City took a 3-1 lead on Joe Peckford's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Columbia pitcher Jose Rodriguez in the bottom of the eighth.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Peckford said.
