Roberts Sensational, 5-for-5 Friday, July 22nd , 2067 The Phoenix Mavericks stopped the Sacramento Sluggers by a score of 6-4 at Cyberdyne Systems Stadium today, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Mike Roberts. The 27-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Roberts said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Roberts did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Sluggers. "Not much that I can say," offered Sacramento manager Lookie Wookie. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Mike Roberts singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
