Menendez's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Sunday, July 24th , 2067 The number just keeps getting higher. Pittsburgh right fielder Mario Menendez has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Pittsburgh took the 6-5 win over the Louisville Lightning at Shock Stadium. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Louisville manager Lookie Wookie said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Mario Menendez flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 9th.
