Going, Going, Gone! Efferson Hits 3 Homers
Tuesday, July 26th , 2067
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Donovan Efferson did today at Polo Grounds 1923, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 7-3.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Efferson said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Anchorage Whalers first baseman blistered the Kansas City Keys for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Kansas City manager Lookie Wookie said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Donovan Efferson hit a solo-shot off Curt Lambert in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Craig Phelps in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ray Bragg in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
Thus far this season Efferson is hitting .295 with 28 home runs, 66 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 84 hits in 285 at-bats and has played in 77 games.
