"It's a tough day for everyone in the Sacramento Sluggers organization," owner Paul Wolverton told reporters. "We will just have to come back stronger." The Sluggers have missed the playoffs 30 times in their 42 years as a North American Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 14th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2049. Sacramento has won the World Series 2 times in their history. |
