Louisville Eliminated from Playoff Contention Monday, July 23rd , 2063 It won't be a season to remember for the Louisville Lightning, as the club has officially missed out on the playoffs. The Lightning were mathematically eliminated from qualification today. "With any luck, in a couple years we will look back on the 2063 season as an important stepping stone to a title," said Louisville center fielder Bill Talbott. The Lightning have made the playoffs 17 times in their 40 years as a North American Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2056. In the last 10 seasons, the Lightning have missed the playoffs 5 times. Louisville last won the World Series in 2053. |
