Losing Skid Reaches 8 Games for Whalers
|
The Music City Mystique went home winners at Minka, thanks in large part to starter Rob Shelton. Shelton stifled the Anchorage Whalers, enabling Music City to grab the 6-1 win. The Whalers have now dropped 8 straight.
Jim Ramsey, who finished 5th in the FL in RBI with 59 last year, aided the Music City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3 with a walk.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Ramsey told the Music City Herald.
